Spirit Reborn

‘Twas the day before Christmas break, when all through the school, not a student was quite, thanks to the school spirit both on and off campus.

The signs were hung in the halls with care in hopes that a Maverick win would soon be there.

Students spread their holiday cheer to the community. This holiday spirit mirrors on the basketball court as players start their season out strong. The student section chants loudly, and heard through out the gym.

Christmas season being in full swing, the season of good spirit comes with it. Around campus, students spread the holiday spirit through community service.
Many clubs participate in activities such as helping at the Salvation Army or going to the preschools in town to make crafts with kids.

The football players and cheerleaders volunteer at the elementary schools, from helping the kids out of their cars during drop off in the mornings to playing with them during recess.

Student not volunteering can spread their spirit to the community in other ways. Sponsoring an Angel from the Angel Tree raises one child’s spirit on Christmas and helps the whole family. Donate old clothes and toys to the Salvation Army for those who need it.

Whether students volunteer or donate, the student body raises its spirits, and the community spirit is reborn.
