Cross country concluded the season Nov. 2 at state conference in Hot Springs Oaklawn Park.
The boys varsity team placed fourteenth overall, and the girls placed fifteenth.

“I think the team really came together this year. Our varsity team was made up of mostly seniors, and with our high school running careers coming to an end it was time for underclassmen to start stepping up and that’s exactly what they did,”senior Addison Skelton said.

On Oct. 20 cross country members continued to improve as junior Quinlan Broadway placed second overall in the annual 5K Survivors Challenge along with senior Evan Foley in third place overall. Sophomore Sydnee Moore and senior Blanca Hernandez placed second and third in the girls age group.

“Throughout the season we have dropped time, and I’ve been very proud of my students and the work they put in as they continually progress,” coach Kareus said.
