Business Students Advance to the State Level

Future Business Leaders of America spring competitive conference proves successful for Southside students as 116 advance to state competition with twenty three first place.
Students listen to National Football League referee and business owner, Walt Coleman, as he speaks on how being apart of the FBLA organization is an experience to remember. During his speech, Coleman reassured students, telling the importance of success.
Competitors watched the District talent show in which senior, Isabella Udouj, won first place and plans on continuing to compete during the State talent show.
Members of the District one FBLA met January 17th at the Fort Smith Convention center. Students moving forward to state will compete April 9th and 10th in Little Rock.
“It feels great to be in competition FBLA, it makes me strive to be better with my peers as well as preparing me for the future,” sophomore Clay Montgomery said.
Seniors Will and Wyatt Robinson close off their year on the district officer team. Juniors, John Freeny and Terry Uhm swore in as District Vice President and Parliamentarian.

“Will and Wyatt Robinson and I competed in Digital Video production at the district FBLA conference. We placed first and are going to move on to state. We are excited to compete at the state competition and to be able to represent Southside in Little Rock in April,” senior Wesley Schwartz said.
