Out of the three concerts I’ve ever been to, Coldplay live on their “A Head Full of Dreams” tour marks my favorite. Along with two of my best friends and a mom, I sat far away from the stage at the BOK in Tulsa, but we still had the best experience.

Beforehand, we drove the two hour trip while talking about how excited we were, since we’d all been fans for years. I still remember my first time watching the music video for Paradise thinking, “Wow, this is weird but fun.”

In Tulsa, we stopped at Spaghetti Warehouse for spaghetti with huge meatballs. The restaurant looked beautiful on the inside, and it even featured a train-like eating area. The bread tasted amazing and the servers treated us well.

Through the rain that drizzled after dining, we searched for parking outside the BOK and ended up a few streets away next to a beautiful mural. Rushing across streets and avoiding cars, we made our way towards the merchandise stand outside. I came a few dollars short from buying a T-shirt (Italian food is expensive.) Instead I bought a tour poster and keychain instead, which I loved just as much.

After we’d passed security, guards stood by handing everyone bracelets. The bracelets lit up in-sync during certain songs. The crowd looked amazing as everyone swayed with the colorful bands on. As Chris Martin sang, crazy lights created such a happy atmosphere. Streamers and confetti and beach balls made the night an adventure of a lifetime.

The band performed my favorite songs including Yellow, The Scientist, A Sky Full of Stars, Fix You, and Viva la Vida. During each of my favorite songs, I’d record using my phone. Quickly, my storage ran out and I ended up deleting every app, other than Snapchat. My story on there became minutes long after all the clips of Coldplay and their opening acts (Alessia Cara and Bishop Briggs were both spectacular.)

Aug. 25, 2016 easily became one of the best nights of my life after this concert. Nothing could’ve made it better, other than sitting closer to the stage, or maybe not having my wisdom teeth removal surgery the next morning. Let’s just say, it sucked not being able to snack on the way back home and finally sleeping at 3 AM.
